Big Surprise

B's Bees is happy to announce that they will be going on tour for the first time!

From April 13 to May 6, 2017, the group will be on a U.S./Canada that will take them from Montreal, down to New Orleans, and then back up to Montreal to record their second album. We will also spend two days in New Orleans working with Grammy-award winning producer Delfeayo Marsalis.

Due to the exceptionally high costs of touring in the U.S., we will be touring as a quartet (guitar, piano, bass, drums).
The tour lineup will be:
Julien Sandiford - guitar
Joe Ferracuti - piano
Alec Safy - bass
Brandon Goodwin - drums

We will be playing some interesting music. The first set will be a tribute to the great Charlie Haden, where we will play original arrangements of his compositions. The second set will be original compositions by various group members, including a suite that I have written.

So far in the U.S. we have booked performances in Baltimore MD, Atlanta GA, Washington D.C., Rochester NY, Cleveland OH, Montpelier MD, Nashua NH, and Baton Rouge LA.

For our performances in Washington D.C. we will be joined for the second night by local saxophonist Elijah Jamal Balbed. For our two nights in Atlanta we will be joined by Grammy-award winning saxophonist Kebbi Williams.

Here are some recent videos that we shot during a rehearsal for the tour:

I can't tell you how excited we are to be doing this tour. It's going to be an experience of a lifetime.

There's so much more to say, but I don't want to write a dissertation right now, so let's leave it at this and I'll give you regular updates from now.

Love,

   B.
